Christmas: The Promise, Prince of Peace

In this final chapter, we have finally arrived at the manger, at the sacred place of the Nativity, where the Savior, the promise of God, has been born. Before us, a dim light appears, small and gentle, but with the power to grow and shine, bringing the promised peace. In this moment of joy and revelation, we hear about the prophecy of the shoot of Jesse, who rises as a light in the darkness, just like this Savior who chooses to be born among the most humble: gentiles, shepherds, and kings. These tireless witnesses have seen the promise of God fulfilled in their lives, and now, with grateful hearts, they offer their gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These symbols, which have guided us as the modern kings in our search for the Nazarene, remind us that Christ, the King of the Jews, has come to illuminate the entire world.

Throughout this pilgrimage, we have followed the Three Kings on their journey to the Savior. In the first chapter, we began with the revelation of the star, guiding us through the darkness toward the light. In the second, we faced the threat of Herod but trusted in God’s promise, which gave us the strength to continue. In the third chapter, after passing by the tomb of Rachel and hearing her lament transformed by divine glory, we arrived at the field of the shepherds, chosen by God to be witnesses of the heavenly glory.

Each step brought us closer to the manger, where we finally found the Light that, though small at first, shines to bring peace to the world. This journey reminds us that the light of Christ, born in humility, has the power to illuminate our lives and lead us toward true peace.
