1. Introductory Talk 1: Go out Into the Deep

Begin this spiritual journey in Magdala, a place deeply connected to the Gospel and the mission of Christ’s disciples. From the Boat Chapel in Duc in Altum, a setting that evokes Jesus’ call to “put out into the deep,” we embark on a pilgrimage following Saint Paul, the Apostle of Hope. As we journey through the sites of his missionary travels, we reflect on the virtue of hope, which sustained Paul through trials and triumphs.

In this Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, we are invited to renew our trust in God’s promises and embrace the call to share the Gospel with courage. Just as Paul carried Christ’s message across lands and cultures, this pilgrimage seeks to deepen our faith, reminding us that hope is the anchor of our soul, leading us forward in trust and perseverance.
